past, present, future.
Identity for an exhibitionfor furniture shop OX.
In 2003 Viveca González and Shukri Girgis founded OX, one of the finest vintage furniture shops in Barcelona. Their passion for Scandinavian design is reflected in their work as both designers and consultants, collaborating with the retail and hospitality sectors as well as private clients.
On the occasion of the opening of their new space in Poble Nou they commissioned us to design the identity of Past, Present, Future, an exhibition that featured works by several contemporary artists as well as furniture by Arne Jacobsen, Toshiyuki Kita or Gianfranco Frattini, among others.
The exhibition featured works by multidisciplinary artist Sergio Caballero, photographer Biel Capllonch, artist Roger Coll or painter Angus Jones, among others.
One of our main inspirations was Fortunato Depero's 1927 book Depero Futurista, also known as the "bolted" book. The bolts that bind the book can be removed, allowing it to be disassembled and the pages to be displayed as individual pieces of art.
